SYSK - Living Without Limits

KXMCTV Minot reports on a powerful lady that everyone should know.

She's an author...a motivational speaker...and holds national records in the sport of track and field...and she's all this after suffering a broken neck.

It was a moment that changed her life...but not for the worse.

Tonight we meet Judy Siegle...someone you should know.

(Judy Siegle - Motivational Speaker) "Everyone has challenges of different sorts..."

Judy's challenge started one night after graduating from high school...

(Judy) "I was in a car accident with drunk drivers and was left a Quadrapalegic. I was active in sports and was going to play Basketball in college. That all changed and I really thought my days in sports were done."

But boy was she wrong...since then, she's gone on to compete for Team USA at competitions across the globe...including two Parapalegic Games in Atlanta and Sydney, Australia.

Now retired from competition...the Minnesota native who now calls Fargo home travels the country...sharing her story...and inspiring thousands...

(Judy) "Stuff is going to happen to all of us. It is part of life. We have a choice as to how we will respond to what comes our way."

This morning she was at Our Redeemer's Christian School...and this afternoon Jim Hill Middle School...

(Judy) "This morning my message is going to be with running my race with strength and faith in God. This afternoon I will talk about being a winner in life. Making good choices that impact the life we live tomorrow."

Her message comes through loud and clear...

(Wil Fogarty - ORCS Senior) "Pretty inspiring story. How she can go on and race after that and do so with the help of God and use what He has given her."

(Joley Beeler - ORCS Senior) "She is a really good speaker and it is amazing how she has gotten over these obstacles and she came out a better person."

Something she says we all can do...Judy Siegle, someone you should know...Perry Olson, KX News.

Siegle was in town to speak with the Minot Christian Women's Club tonight.
